Hackers use AI-cloned Wall Street executives' voices to break into hedge funds

Hackers attempted a series of ​sophisticated cyberattacks targeting major Wall Street financial services firms and ‌money managers in recent days, Reuters reported. Some of the world's largest hedge funds along with several private ​equity firms were targeted, it added. The attacks reportedly relied on voice phishing, with cybercriminals using AI to mimic executives' voices, tone and speech.
