Had asked Chakraborty to remove contentious lines from exit letter: HDFC Bank CEO

Former HDFC Bank part-time Chairman Atanu Chakraborty, who resigned citing ethical differences, was asked to reconsider his decision by "every board member", said the bank's CEO and MD Sashidhar Jagdishan. Chakraborty was also asked to elaborate on his concerns and to remove some of the "contentious" lines in his resignation letter, Jagdishan added. All the requests were unsuccessful.
