Had stainless steel been used to make Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's statue, it would've never collapsed, Union Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari said. "I've been pressing for last three years that stainless steel should be used in the construction of bridges built close to sea," he added. Gadkari said stainless steel should be used in all roads within 30 km from sea.
