Had to show his disadvantage: Imtiaz on mentioning Chamkila's caste in film

Director Imtiaz Ali revealed that it was imperative for him to mention the caste of slain Punjabi singer Amar Singh Chamkila, who came from a Dalit Sikh family, in the film. "If I am making a film about his life, I have to show his biggest disadvantage...To denounce [caste], you must not pretend that it doesn't exist," he said.
