Haier, Godrej, Blue Star faulted over fake e-waste credits

Indian tax authorities issued a 550-page notice to Haier India, Godrej & Boyce, and Blue Star for allegedly claiming $714,000 in false tax credits linked to recycler WEEE-PRO, which investigators say conducted no actual e-waste processing. Authorities also found manipulated photographic evidence, including digitally altered truck images and post-sunset photos showing daylight.
