HAL, France's Safran to build helicopter engines for IAF, Navy

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed an agreement with France's Safran Helicopter Engines SAS to set up a joint venture to develop and sell helicopter engines, HAL said in an exchange filing. The initial focus of the venture will be on Indian Multi Role Helicopter for the Indian Air Force and Deck Based Multi Role Helicopter for the Navy.
