Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) secured ₹26,000 crore order for 240 AL-31FP aero-engines for the Indian Air Force's Su-30 MKI aircraft, on September 2, 2024. HAL's share price surged 5.09% to ₹4,925 before retreating to ₹4,810. The engines, with over 54% indigenous content, will be manufactured at HAL’s Koraput division.
