HAL to deliver first batch of light combat helicopters in 2028

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) will begin delivering the first batch of LCH Prachand helicopters to the Indian Armed Forces in March 2028. The contract includes 66 helicopters for the Indian Air Force and 90 for the Indian Army, boosting India’s domestic defence production. The LCH Prachand is a versatile, multi-role combat helicopter designed for high-altitude operations in the Himalayas.
