Half-day holiday announced for govt employees, WFH for private offices amid rain in Mumbai

A half-day holiday has been announced for government/semi-government (excluding essential services) employees after noon amid heavy rains in Mumbai. Additionally, all employees in private offices have been advised to work from home. This comes as Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall in the Mumbai metropolitan area, forecasting 80-90 km/hour winds.
