Half of Britons unwilling to fight for UK in the event of war: Poll

Around 48% of Britons said there were no circumstances under which they would fight for their country, according to an Ipsos poll cited by The Telegraph. The figure has barely changed since April 2025. Meanwhile, 36% said they would fight under certain circumstances, up from 35% last year. Men were the only group with more willing respondents.
