Half of homes in India's Top 7 cities now cost over ₹1.5 cr

In FY26, over 50% of homes sold in India's top 7 cities excluding Mumbai were priced ₹1.5 crore or above. With 42% of all new launches in H1 FY26 falling in the luxury and ultra-luxury segments, and average selling prices rising 6-8%, it seems like developers are steering away from building for the masses.
