Half of Indian adults face rising inactivity: Lancet report
A Lancet report revealed that 49.4% of Indian adults are experiencing increased physical inactivity, posing significant health risks. The report stated that 57% of women and 42% of men are inactive. Physical inactivity has increased from 22.3% in 2000 to 49.4% in 2022. It is expected to rise to 60% of the population being unfit by 2030.
