Hamas was created, backed by Israel: Palestine envoy

Palestine envoy Abdullah Abu Shawesh claimed Hamas was "created and backed by Israel" until October 2023, while also acknowledging Iran's support. He alleged Israel facilitated Qatari funds to the group. Despite this, he reiterated the Palestinian Authority's stand for disarming all non-state actors, calling for one unified government, law, and security structure across Palestinian territories.
