Hamas will lay down weapons if two-state solution is implemented: Khalil al-Hayya

Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya said the group is willing to agree to a truce of five years or more with Israel, would lay down its weapons and convert into a political party. Hamas is open to truce if an independent Palestinian state is established along pre-1967 borders, he added. The statement comes amid a stalemate in months of ceasefire talks.
