Hampi tourists to get ₹1 for recycling plastic bottles

Hampi has introduced reverse vending machines at key tourist spots to encourage plastic recycling. Visitors can deposit used plastic bottles and receive ₹1 as a reward. The initiative by Hampi authorities and Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) aims to reduce plastic waste, support the ‘Clean Hampi, Beautiful Hampi’ campaign and preserve the beauty of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
