Hardeep Singh Puri takes charge as Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas

BJP leader Hardeep Singh Puri on Thursday took charge as the Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas. "Our focus will be on increasing domestic production of crude oil and natural gas...We'll work towards development of natural gas-based economy," he said. Jyotiraditya Scindia replaced him as Civil Aviation Minister, however, Puri continues to head the Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry.
