Haridwar mandates Sanskrit on all signages ahead of Ardh Kumbh

Ahead of Ardh Kumbh fair, authorities in Haridwar have said that signages, as well as boards at government offices, bus stands and railway stations, will display information in Sanskrit alongside Hindi and English. The initiative has been launched to promote Sanskrit, which is the second official language of Uttarakhand. To avoid grammatical errors, officials have appointed two Sanskrit experts.
