Harish Rana, India’s first person to be allowed passive euthanasia, passes away at AIIMS Delhi

Harish Rana, first person in India to be allowed passive euthanasia, passed away on Tuesday at AIIMS-Delhi after over 13 years in coma, ThePrint reported, citing sources. Rana, who was pursuing civil engineering at Chandigarh University, had suffered severe head injuries after falling from fourth-floor balcony in 2013. His 'right to die' was upheld by Supreme Court earlier this month.
