Harivansh Singh to be re-elected unopposed as RS Deputy Chairman

Harivansh Narayan Singh is set to be elected unopposed as Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman for a third term after no opposition nominations were filed, Hindustan Times report said. The Rajya Sabha Secretariat received five proposals supporting his candidature from NDA leaders. Singh, recently nominated to the Rajya Sabha by President Droupadi Murmu, is expected to secure a walkover, reports added.
