Harjinder Kaur lifts a total of 227kg to win silver, India's 7th weightlifting medal at CWG 2026

Indian weightlifter Harjinder Kaur won silver in the women’s 69kg event at Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2026 in Glasgow. The 29-year-old lifted 101kg in snatch and 126kg in clean and jerk for a total of 227kg. Canada’s Charlotte Simoneau claimed gold with 240kg, while Australia’s Nya Phebe Hayman took bronze. India have won seven weightlifting medals at CWG 2026 so far.
