Harmanpreet retained as India captain after early Women's T20 WC exit

Batter Harmanpreet Kaur was on Tuesday retained as India captain for this year's Asian Games in Japan following their early exit from the Women's T20 World Cup 2026. The BCCI announced a 15-member squad for the event, with opener Smriti Mandhana named vice-captain. Other members in the squad include Nandni Sharma, Shafali Verma, Kranti Gaud, Deepti Sharma and Bharti Fulmali.
