Harris' native village in Tamil Nadu holds prayers for her success

As voting for US presidential election 2024 takes place today, prayers were offered in Kamala Harris' native village of Thulasendrapuram, Tamil Nadu, for her success. An ANI video showed a priest offering prayers, with a banner outside wishing her success calling her "the daughter of the land". Harris' maternal grandfather, PV Gopalan, was born in Thulasendrapuram over a century ago.
