Hashtags don't really help posts get more views: Instagram chief

Adding hashtags to Instagram posts does not help in increasing the posts' views, the social media platform's chief Adam Mosseri said. Responding to an Instagram user when he was asked if "hashtags help views", Mosseri said, "I wouldn’t...think of hashtags as a way to...get more distribution." He added that hashtags help Instagram's algorithm in understanding what the post is about.
