Hassan villagers block funeral procession over superstition

A funeral procession in Hassan’s Majjanahalli village was reportedly blocked by some villagers who objected to the body passing in front of their houses. The grieving family was forced to keep the body on the road for around 1.5 hours. Police later intervened, arranged an alternative route and helped the family proceed to the graveyard for the final rites.
