'Hate crimes against Indians rising in Canada,' says MEA; issues advisory for students

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has issued an advisory for students & other Indians travelling to Canada in view of "a sharp increase in incidents of hate crimes, sectarian violence & anti-India activities in Canada". Indians travelling to Canada have been asked to "exercise due caution and remain vigilant". India has taken up the issue with Canada, MEA said.
