As many as 653 doctors and seven medical associations across India have written to PM Narendra Modi urging to implement new pictorial warnings on packs of tobacco products from April 1. This comes after a Parliamentary Committee suggested that the pictorial warnings should be reduced to 50% on both sides of the display area, instead of the earlier proposed 85%.
