Haveri to begin cloud seeding with US aircraft on July 7

Haveri district will begin a three-day cloud seeding operation from July 7 using a specially equipped US aircraft to address the ongoing rain deficit. Six MLAs, led by Ranebennur MLA Prakash Koliwad, will jointly fund the mission, which is estimated to cost ₹15 lakh per hour, to provide relief to farmers affected by the weak monsoon.
