Havildar Soman, who lost his leg in mine blast in 2006, qualifies for Paralympics

Meghalaya's Havildar Soman Rana, who lost his right leg following a mine blast injury on December 1, 2006, has qualified for seated shot put in the F57 category for the Tokyo Paralympics 2020. The 38-year-old was inducted into the Army Paralympic Node in 2017. Earlier this year, he won a gold medal in Tunis World Para Athletics Grand Prix 2021.
