British scientist Stephen Hawking has launched the ‘Stephen Hawking Medal for Science Communication’ for promoting science through media including cinema, music, writing and art. The medal will be awarded in three different categories, namely scientific, artistic and film communities. The first award will be given away next year between June and July at the Starmus Festival in Spain.
