HC allows taxpayer not having Aadhaar to file manual ITR

The Gujarat High Court has allowed a man without Aadhaar card to submit a hard copy of his Income Tax Return to the I-T Department. The petitioner said that although the matter of privacy in Aadhaar was still pending with the Supreme Court, e-filing return requires Aadhaar-linkage. The government recently extended PAN-Aadhaar linking deadline to March next year.
