High Court asks Centre to consider Australia-like internet curbs for children in India

The Madras High Court urged the Centre to consider bringing in a law restricting social media use for children under 16, similar to Australia's move. Until such a law is passed, the court said authorities must strengthen awareness campaigns through all available media. The court was hearing a PIL seeking directions to internet service providers to offer parental control services.
