HC bars police action against Abhishek Banerjee in FIR over remarks on Amit Shah

Calcutta High Court granted TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee protection in the FIR against him for allegedly making inflammatory statements against Home Minister Amit Shah. "Court directs the police not to take any coercive action against [Abhishek Banerjee] till July 31," the court ordered. It also criticised Banerjee for making the remarks before elections, calling them "irresponsible statements".
