HC cancels OBC certificates issued under revised rules by TMC govt

The Calcutta High Court on Wednesday cancelled the OBC certificates issued by the Mamata Banerjee-led government under revised rules in West Bengal. The court also scrapped OBC-A and OBC-B categories, under which the certificates were issued, citing that the present government had abolished them. Those who received the certificates will be considered under the "unreserved category", the HC said.
