HC commutes death penalty to 30-yr jail in Kurukshetra doctor murder

The Punjab and Haryana High Court commuted death sentences of four men to 30 years in jail and acquitted one woman in the January 2023 murder of Dr Vanita Arora in Kurukshetra. The trial court had awarded death penalty in December 2025. The HC noted the convicts, aged 26–31, are not beyond reform.
