HC denies stay on Centre's eviction notice to Delhi Gymkhana, calls issue 'premature'

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday denied an interim stay or status quo order on the Centre's order directing the Delhi Gymkhana Club to vacate its 27.3-acre premises in Lutyens' Delhi by June 5. The court said the apprehensions of club members over forcible eviction were "premature". The Centre assured the court that there would be no forcible eviction.
