HC grants divorce as woman claims husband has no interest in sexual relations

Kerala High Court upheld grant of divorce to a woman who claimed her husband showed no interest in sexual relations or family life but was compulsively pursuing spiritual activities. The court said, "Compelling wife to adopt his spiritual life causing emotional distress...amounts to mental cruelty." "Husband's disinterest in family life indicates his failure to fulfil...marital duties," it added.
