HC issues notice to govt on plea for ASI survey of Taj Mahal over 'Tejo Mahalaya' temple claim

Allahabad High Court has issued notices to the Centre and the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) over a plea seeking an ASI survey of the Taj Mahal, alleging the world-famous monument is actually a Hindu temple named "Tejo Mahalaya". The plea, filed on behalf of the deity "Lord Sri Agreshwar Mahadev Nagnatheshwar Virajman", challenged an Agra court order rejecting survey.
