HC junks accused's plea to 'suspend sentence' in 2017 Kerala actor rape case

Kerala High Court rejected NS Sunil's plea, the main accused in the 2017 Kerala actor rape case, to suspend his sentence. The court said that it had no grounds to suspend Sunil's sentence, emphasising his involvement in 11 other crimes and his participation in another case while on bail in this case. Sunil has served eight years for the case.
