HC orders B'luru civic body to pay ₹2.77 cr to man paralysed after tree branch fall

Karnataka High Court ordered Greater Bengaluru Authority to pay ₹2.77 crore to Chandan, who suffered 85% disability after a tree branch fell on him near a school in 2024. It treated his functional disability as 100% and awarded 6% interest/year. GBA had paid ₹5 lakh, while school paid ₹3 lakh and promised free education for his daughter till Class 12.
