High Court orders Himachal govt to appoint power regulator chief by Nov 10

The Himachal Pradesh High Court set aside the state government's decision to cancel the HPERC chairperson selection process, calling it arbitrary and beyond legal authority. It directed authorities to finalise the appointment based on original September 14 recommendations by November 10. The government had rejected the selection panel citing junior rank and lack of power sector experience.
