Himachal HC orders SJVNL to pay landowners for Luhri hydro project

Himachal Pradesh High Court directed SJVNL to pay solatium, interest, and statutory benefits to landowners whose land was acquired for the 210 MW Luhri Hydro Electric Project. Justice Sandeep Sharma ruled SJVNL is bound by 2013 Land Acquisition Act conditions set during government approval of negotiated rates. Payment must be made within three months.
