HC sets aside 50% pension, gratuity benefit cut of govt staffer over 40-yr live-in relation

Delhi High Court asked the Centre to consider a retired government employee's plea to include his live-in partner of 40 years and their children for Pension Payment Order, noting that he'd "never concealed" his relationship. It also set aside an order upholding authorities' decision to cut 50% of his monthly pensionary and gratuity benefits. Man claimed his wife deserted him.
