HC stays Tirupati temple trust's transfer of non-Hindu staff

The Hyderabad High Court has stayed the decision of the Tirupati temple trust to transfer 44 non-Hindu employees in the institutions run by it. The court questioned the legal validity of the trust's service rules, which bar non-Hindu employees from working in its institutions. It asked why non-Hindus cannot be employed, even as they are allowed to visit the temple.
