HCL Co-founder recalls how 6 men built the company with ₹1.87 lakh

HCL Co-founder Ajai Chowdhry recalled how he, Shiv Nadar, Arjun Malhotra, Yogesh Vaidya, Subhash Arora, DS Puri, quit jobs, pooled ₹1.87 lakh by borrowing, savings and selling car to build HCL from Delhi office in 1976. They partnered with UP Electronics and their sales team went across India convincing businesses about never-used-before technology using brochure and mock-up of "Indian computer".
