HCL-Foxconn’s ₹3,700-cr chip plant in UP to be operational by 2028

HCL and Taiwan-based Foxconn's ₹3,700-crore chip plant in Jewar, UP, is expected to become operational by 2028. At its peak capacity, the plant will create more than 3,500 direct and indirect jobs and employ 800 engineers. The outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) facility will initially process 20,000 wafers per month and produce approximately 3.6 crore chips annually.
