HDFC Bank CEO Jagdishan sued for ₹1,000 crore by Lilavati Hospital's trust

Lilavati Kirtilal Mehta Medical Trust, which manages Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, filed a defamation lawsuit worth ₹1,000 crore against HDFC Bank CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan. It has also filed a criminal complaint, following which Jagdishan, the bank's spokesperson and Corporate Communications Head were served notices. It said the accused made false claims against it and its trustee Prashant Mehta.
