HDFC Bank CEO Sashidhar Jagdishan announces retirement

HDFC Bank CEO Shashidhar Jagdishan will retire on October 26, deciding not to seek reappointment, as per the company's stock exchange filing. Jagdishan joined HDFC Bank 30 years ago and took over as CEO and MD in October 2020. This comes after former chairman Atanu Chakraborty resigned in March, saying the bank's practices weren't in line with his "personal ethics".
