HDFC Bank has submitted two candidates — Kaizad Bharucha, its Deputy MD, and Anup Bagchi, MD & CEO of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance — to RBI for CEO approval. A decision is expected in 7–10 days. The vacancy arose after incumbent Sashidhar Jagdishan declined a third term, set to retire October 26, 2026.
