HDFC Life faces breach, says 'unknown source' shared users' data

HDFC Life on Monday said it has faced a data theft which has exposed data of several customers. "We wish to inform that we have received communication from an unknown source, who has shared certain data fields of our customers with us, with mala fide intent," the insurer said in an exchange filing. HDFC Life said it's investigating the breach.
