He is a madman: Haaland on Messi's hat-trick in Argentina's FIFA WC opener

After Argentina captain Lionel Messi scored a hat-trick in their FIFA World Cup 2026 opener against Algeria, Norway forward Erling Haaland wrote, "Messi is a madman." Messi who netted in the 17th, 60th and 76th minutes, equalled ex-Germany striker Miroslav Klose's record for most World Cup goals. Haaland also scored twice on his World Cup debut as Norway beat Iraq.
